In this section you will find various pieces of information that may be useful as you lead your early childhood program.

Help families and staff learn more about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) by reviewing the information below and displaying the posters in your centers.
Raise awareness about these tax credits by sharing the information and preventing thousands of dollars from going unclaimed because workers do not know about them. Eligible working families and individuals can claim over $4,700 from the EITC, up to $2,100 from the federal CDCTC and $1,000 for each child from the CTC.

The Child Care Bureau recently released a technical assistance CD-ROM titled “Leading the Way to Quality Early Care and Education.”
The CD-ROM is organized by the themes -- “Professional Development,” “Program Coordination,” “Supporting Quality,” “Literacy & Early Learning,” and “Financing & Subbsidy Administration,” -- and includes video clips, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and electronic links available for download.
The CD-ROM is suitable for use by state child care administrators, Head Start directors, pre-school and early care and education providers, technical assistance trainers, and others to train staff, learn what states are doing to support early learning, engage new partners, find print and on-line resources, and reach new constituencies.
The CD is available at NO COST and may be ordered online from the National Child Care Information Center
