Description:
Job Summary: The Early Childhood Team Manager will support the early learning goals of the Promise Neighborhood and provide expertise and policy information and advocacy in the area of early childhood development and services to the initiative. The Team Manager will facilitate the work of the Early Childhood Working Group, connecting early childhood providers, overseeing the development and implementation of this shared service initiative, including development of a joint professional development plan, the recruitment and training of a shared substitute teacher pool, exploration of a shared approach to facilities management and repair, and the development of a shared definition of school readiness.

Work closely with the early childhood providers that form the Early Childhood Working Group (ECWG).
Facilitate ECWG meetings and activities.
Coordinate the development and implementation of the shared service alliance, including provision of professional development opportunities for early childhood staff, recruitment and training of a substitute teacher pool, and facilities management.
Work collaboratively with the ECWG to develop a uniform definition of school readiness and determine corresponding indicators for school readiness.
Work with primary school principals and staff to develop and support a transitions program to focus on school-readiness and a successful move from early childhood services to Pre-K.
Work with primary school principals and staff to develop and support a school success program to ensure continued school success as young children move through the early grades.
Qualifications:
Position Qualifications:
• Primary interest in addressing issues pertaining to early childhood education.
• Master’s Degree and demonstrated work experience in early childhood education.
• Minimum three years’ experience in program development and management, supervision, and group facilitation.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
