Description:

The Children's Garden, a nature-based nursery & preschool in Chelsea is seeking a warm, loving lead teacher for our 2's class.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include leading a team of 2 assistant teachers to assess the social, emotional and educational needs of the children, plan developmentally appropriate activities; communicate with parents on a regular basis; collaborate with teachers of other classes; and participate in staff meetings and workshops.

Qualifications:

Must meet NYS licensing requirements. Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required. Master's Degree is preferred; minimum 2 years experience working with 2 year olds; excellent managerial, organizational and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with co-workers; be comfortable communicating with families on a regular basis; and most importantly be flexible and possess a sense of humor.
