Coollaborative / Team Teacher

The Coollaborative or Team Teacher:

• Provides individual and direct services to young children with disabilities
• Coordinates the implementation of IEPs.
• Spends time in various groups with children with disabilities, each day or each week
• Promotes a high quality, inclusive education where students with disabilities are able to access the general early childhood curriculum by introducing strategies like:
  • Modifications and adaptations to the general curricula
  • Coordination of children’s schedules and services
  • Provision of supports, special accommodations or supplementary aides
• Offers indirect services to other service providers including general early childhood teacher

Academic & Experience Requirements are the same as for Early Childhood Special Education Teachers
