Description:

Assists the classroom teacher by providing direct instructional services to students and performing non-teaching support duties under the supervision of the certified teacher.

Responsibilities:

Work with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects or assignments according to detailed instructions of teacher
Collect and prepare instructional materials as directed by teacher
Assists with crisis intervention and class supervision
Assists in maintaining order and cleaning of classroom
Supervises students during snack time
Assumes primary responsibility for class in the absence of the teacher
Participates in In-Service training, faculty meetings, Team meeting and Parent/Teacher meetings

Qualifications:

High school diploma
NYS Certification
