Description:

We are seeking a pre-k lead teacher to join our cooperative school community and collaborative teaching and learning environment. With the support of a teaching team, this lead teacher will create a joyful, experiential emergent curriculum that includes explorations of all learning domains. This includes ongoing documentation that recognizes and celebrates individual and whole group learning, and inspires reflection.

Responsibilities:

Our pre-k classrooms meet all NYC Pre-K for All requirements, while ensuring that the classroom experience is hands-on, play-centered, and based on a deep understanding of the social and emotional needs of 4 year olds.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years Early Childhood Education classroom experience.
Masters in ECE and Initial or Professional Certification
A passion for a constructivist/inquiry-based and/or Reggio Emilia-inspired educational approach.
