Child Development Associate (CDA)
The design of the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential program is based on the belief that teaching skills and abilities can be demonstrated. The CDA candidate is able to meet the specific needs of children to nurture children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in a child development framework.
Who should seek this credential?
Preschool teachers, childcare workers, and other individuals looking to work in Early Childhood Education are the most likely candidates.. This nationally recognized credential has been accepted as a state requirement for working in many early childhood centers.

The NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential (CPAC)
The Children’s Program Administrator Credential (CPAC) of New York State is designed to provide for and be recognized as a standard by which to measure program management, fiscal management, and the leadership abilities of early childhood and school-age administrators.
Who should seek the credential?
Both new and experienced administrators may choose to obtain the credential as well as current teachers who aspire to administrative positions.
Those individuals who have had no management experience would need to complete an internship to obtain the credential.

The NYS Infant Toddler Care And Education Credential (ITCEC)
The Infant Toddler Care & Education Credential of New York State is designed to provide for and be recognized as a standard by which to measure an individual's competence in the following topics areas: Infant and Toddler Development; Observation and Recording; Environment and Curriculum; and Family and Culture.
Who should seek the credential?
An individual who is currently working with or would like to work with infants and toddlers in child care centers and family childcare homes. Candidates include staff members, providers, substitutes, floaters or administrators of programs.
