Guide For Trainers
Welcome to the New York State Early Childhood Trainers' Registry. With demands for greater accountability, higher achievement, and increased quality control in early care and education, high-quality professional development opportunities are essential, and your role as a trainer has never been more vital. This registry will give you an opportunity to highlight the important work that you do to provide high-quality services for New York’s young children and their families. Additionally, those seeking professional development for the program staffs will use the registry to conduct their initial searches to find suitable trainers.
The second phase of this project will involve the creation of a NYS Trainer's Credential, a voluntary competency-based program (offered by the New York State Association for the Education of Young Children) that will validate your education and experience and evaluate your competence in offering professional development opportunities. As we move forward working to insure the utmost integrity within the city’s and state’s professional development system, we urge your participation and partnership.
PDI is working on a pilot of a new and improved Trainer Registry! This new registry is in the final testing stages, but check back with us often for updates. If you'd like to contact us to express your interest in the registry, please email us at trainer@earlychildhoodnyc.org and we'll contact you as soon as the new registry is up and running.

Thank you for your interest as well as your support of New York’s efforts to create a comprehensive, coherent system of early childhood professional development that ensures the best outcomes for our youngest citizens and their families.
We reserve the right to remove any trainer from the registry due to unethical practices, false information or other unacceptable conducts.
