The Nomination and Review Process
Check back with us early this fall for a new round of nominations!- Teachers, parents, and/or administrators submit nomination forms. Nomination forms are available in this application packet, upon request by calling NYC PDI at (718) 254-7353,or in PDF format for download
- A committee of administrators, teachers, representatives of professional organizations, and parents review nominations to select finalists.
- The review committee interviews teacher finalists.
- Site visits are made to finalists' school and classroom.
- Teachers are awarded the Excellence in Teaching Recognition Award.
