Head Preschool Teacher needed for well-established progressive Child Care program.. Preschool classes are a mixed-age grouped, run in an Open Classroom setting. We believe in open-ended activities and that children learn through play. We've been successful for over 40 years.

We're willing to train anyone with the proper credentials in our innovative methods. Minimum requirements are a BA in Education or Associates in Early Childhood or Degree in Early Childhood related field would be great. We would consider a candidate in the Preschool CDA program.

Full Time position - Head Teachers may have to work to 6:00pm at times

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $37,000.00 /year

Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and problem solve
• Guide children to develop their skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents 
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
