The Children’s Education Center offers a day care program with both integrated and special education preschool options, as well as a school age special education program and specialized autism program.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Evaluate and provide appropriate special education services to assigned children. Oversee activities of assigned teacher assistants and aides; communicate appropriately and in a timely manner with families of assigned children.  Increase professional knowledge in areas relevant to children enrolled in program. 

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education, Child Development, required through completion of a Master’s Degree in Special Education
  • New York State Certification in Special Education required
  • Minimum one year early childhood related experience to plan individual education plans to meet the special needs of each child preferred
  • Prior early childhood teaching experience with a special education preschool required
