The successful candidate:
- Will have an awareness of the needs and development stages and milestones expected of Toddlers.
- Will exhibit the patience, energy and enthusiasm needed to work with students.
- Will have an open mindset in valuing and meeting all students where they are developmentally.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide overall care by attending to the health and safety of all students, including diapering/potty training
- Structuring the day with routines and guiding students to follow a schedule
- Planning monthly thematic units of exploration that are age appropriate
- Lesson plans should include read-alouds/poems related to themes and hands-on activities considering different centers
- Focus on pre-reading skills, identifying numbers and differentiating experiences and instruction based on interests and needs of students
- Montior and record student behavior, progress and development to share with families
Minimum of at least 60 credits toward an Associates Degree. Individuals on a study plan in an accredited Early Childhood Education program are acceptable.
