As a teacher in our program, your primary responsibility will be to create and implement the age-appropriate Curriculum (Creative Curriculum) that will promote the learning and development of all children in your care. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, fostering their social and emotional growth, and encouraging them to explore and discover new things. You will be able to work closely with parents and other educators to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment to help children reach their full potential. You will be working as a team with your support staff to coordinate how the curriculum will be implemented and followed in the classroom environment under the guidance and support of the Educational Director, Educational Coordinator, and Educational Coach.
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents as needed
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff members to ensure the best possible educational experience for each child
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and progress
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance your skills as an educator
- Maintain constant communication and reflective practices with your team regarding how you will work collaboratively to implement and execute lessons and activities
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Experience in early childhood education
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Ability to use abstract reasoning, problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills in training, evaluation, and program development.
- Proficiency in first aid techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of special education strategies for children with diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passion for educating young children and helping them reach their full potential
- Ability to work successfully with a culturally diverse staff, students, and families.
- Ability to present a positive image of the organization to community members.
- Have a Teaching Certification or be on the path to certification.
